Traditional family photos call for good behavior, big (fake) smiles, and perfect eye contact with the camera.

I don't do traditional. At best, it's boring. At worst, it's stressful for everyone involved.
​
Throw out the idea of perfection and simply enjoy hanging out with your family doing whatever it is you love doing in this season, while I capture the memory to keep forever.
What is storytelling photography?
Storytelling photography is all about capturing what is unique about your family during this season.

Maybe your bedtime routine is extra sweet, and you wish you could bottle it up to keep forever.
​
Or maybe you love having pillow fights. Or coloring together. Or spending time outside exploring nature with your fur baby.

For me, family photos are about so much more than simply capturing what everyone looks like right now.
​
It's about telling your family's story - one bit at a time - so that when they're all grown up, you can remember the best parts of raising them more than challenges (and they'll remember how much you loved them through it all).
How it works
Most of my family sessions take place either in your home, or at a location that is special to you and your family. We'll snap a few of what I call "Grandma's refrigerator" shots - everyone looking and smiling at the camera. Then, we'll play!

As we're preparing for your session, I will find out lots about what you and your family love to do together in this season. I will ask you about your family dynamics and what your kiddos strengths & challenges are. We will then capture authentic moments of your family, allowing everyone to just be who they are (and have fun in the process!)

First, we'll hop on the phone so I can walk you through the entire process and answer any questions you have. My goal is for you to feel 100% confident before you book your session.

Step 2: Session Prep
Once you book your session, I will send you a session prep guide so you can start planning. I will be there to walk you through every step of the process so you're never wondering what to do next.

Step 3: Enjoy forever!
When your gallery is ready you will receive a slideshow of your photos to watch together as a family! Once you've finished (and wiped away any tears), you'll choose a collection to purchase your photos. Every collection includes both digital files and a generous print credit.
